"I Am Happy Being Nothing" received a glowing review in the most recent Maximum RockNRoll:
"Wow, is this the new wave of punk that I've been searching for, or just a very unique group that truly deserves recognition for originality and cleverness? When I first started listening to the CD I wasn't sure what to make of it, because at times it reminded me of later-era ANTIOCH ARROW or STARLIGHT DESPERATION, but then there was so much going on that it became hard to come up with a comparison. The lyrics are incredible, perfectly articulating the surreal world of dumb America with the kind of sarcasm and wittiness that originally drew me into punk with bands like DEAD KENNEDYS and CRUCIFUCKS. And I can list these two bands as a reference here as well. The release is also a total DIY effort, put out by the band themselves. Can I come up with one gripe? Sure, it's the occasional annoying screaming that happens only a few times throughout the album. But fuck, don't let that stop you from checking out this amazing band." (Bob Goldie)
